Crushing exhaustion, could Sertraline be to blame?

I have been taking 50mg of Sertraline once a day for the past 2 years. I suffer with depression and anxiety, and these AD's do seem to help level my mood. OH has said he can really tell if I have run out, and I can as well.

I have been though for the past few months been feeling so bone-achingly tired, I could literally sleep all afternoon. I have 2 DC's, one of which is still pre-school age, and I have been using the hour or so she still naps in the day to nap myself.

I just wondered if anyone else had had this as a side effect of these? I am actually trying to ween myself off them at the moment, so am snapping each pill in half, but the tiredness is still here.

Should I maybe be taking them at night rather than in the morning? I am aware that having young kids is exhausting in itself, and I was until very recently working 2 days a week (just been made redundant), and somedays I could have fallen asleep at my desk.

I do intend to make an app with my GP soon in case it's low iron/thyroid related. I did try taking Floradix for a while, but didn't notice any difference in my tiredness levels.

Any wise words welcome.

Take them at night. I was advised to do this from the outset as tiredness is common.

Also get your GP to do a check to rule out anemia, thyroid etc.

Thanks for your reply. I will try taking them at night. Did you find your sleep disturbed at all?

I do need to get to the GP. Feeling a bit lost at the moment having just been made redundant out of the blue.
