Hi everyone,

I was wondering what your experience is of stress and getting ill.

I've had a pretty rough couple of months where was told I have PTSD by therapist and mild depression. I've not been feeling well mentally at all.

Last Friday my glands came up and my throat hurt and hen Saturday I got this cold/ virus and I have felt really really run down and just in general flu-like. It's not Wednesday and I still am exhausted and haven't shaken it off at all.
Would I be silly in thinking I have lowered my immune system from the stress I have been under?

You wouldn't be silly at all in thinking that. Mind and body are connected and stress is known to lower immunity. Hope things improve for you soon.

i have ptsd and am always ill, ive been referred to immunology to double check its nothing else but the likely culprit is constant severe stress , lack of nutrients as i have loss of appetite and insomnia.
