Hello, I have recently been diagnosed with postnatal depression and was given anti depressants to treat this. Since I have been taking these I am feeling the best I have ever felt! Even before I had my baby! I'm just not sure how to get this across to my doctor and tell them that I would like to continue with these for long term. I don't want her to think that I'm scared of going back to being as low as I did. Any advice would be great!

Don't worry about what your doctor thinks - if they are making you feel better and you haven't got side effects that are bothering you, then why not stay on them if you feel it's right for you? The doctor won't mind either way, just say you think the medication has really helped and you would like to stay on it and I'm sure you can get a repeat prescription.

Good luck and glad to hear you are feeling so much better, it is really nice to hear positive stories!
