Antidepressants during pregnancy?

Has anybody any experience of them while pregnant? Was your baby OK?
I'm nearly 5 months pregnant now, I can't keep feeling like this, I've held off getting them for the sake of the baby, but I cant carry on like this

I've got an 18 month old and I've spent all day crying and basically ignoring her. This isn't the first time but I want it to be the last.

Will I be able to take something for these feelings and my baby be OK?

I honestly feel like I'd my little girl wasn't here I'd end it. I'm not feeling good at sll

Get them. I take Sertraline, have been on them for years, took them all through pregnancy and DD now 6 months was absolutely fine, and is already crawling. Obviously a doctor would advise what is best but don't feel bad about taking them at all. For Setraline they just like to keep an eye on baby post birth for weight gain and jaundice, my DD didn't even lose any birth weight and is a porker so they never gave it a second thought.

See your GP. They can advise you what may and may not be suitable. If you were physically ill and needed meds you would take them. Why should MH be any different?

I was on Setraline from October to January, I stopped taking them because I felt netter, then fell pregnant in March.

I remember how they made me feel. I'm glad you've had experience while pregnant, I'm worried they will affect the baby. My first baby died of organ problems ( non reason why, they just didn't form properly )

I wasn't on any anti depressemts back then but because he died I'm petrified in my subsequent pregnancies

That's not why I'm feeling like this BTW, although the worry doesn't help

Please do see your GP and see what they advise. Sounds like you have had so much to deal with. Sorry.

I took 20mg fluoxetine from about eight or ten weeks onwards. Baby is absolutely fine. I would not have coped without it. Before I started them I was having terrible migraines due to stress and I was begging GP for a termination though it was the last thing I wanted.

I'm not going to say they stopped all the unwanted feelings, but I became more solutions-focussed and it felt like there was a layer between action and reaction... i.e. I had more of a gap between something happening and me losing my shit, so I didn't lose my shit half as much.
