Hi, ive been suffering from panic disorder and depression for 10 years.

I still find everyday a struggle and find it very hard to function most days.

I was just wondering if people would like to share there coping techniques? or anything that has seemed to work for them.

Have you tried CBT? It helped me hugely, as did taking part in a Mindfulness course.
My friend didn't have as good a result as I did but she went to see a psychologist privately and that literally cured her.

I find exercise helps a lot, especially outside rather than in a gym.

The social stuff I have no idea how to help that, bit I'd be interested to hear others' suggestions!

Ive tried cbt and im seeing a psychologist at the minute, im on ad's and anti anxiety meds but they make me so lazy.

Ive heard alot about mindfullness and how its helped people so i think ill have a look in to that.

Does anyone else have a daughter who suffers from social anxiety. My daughter is 18 and really struggles talking to people which has resulted in her having no friends. She really cant start conversations and really struggles to join in. All she wants is to be able to have friendships and is really lonely. Ive tried getting her to go to groups and shes scared stiff. She's fine at home as long as its just me and her dad and is really witty with us but as soon as someone else comes in, even members of the family she just clams up and really struggles.
Just wondered if there was anyone else having similar problems please
