Hi,
I have a constant feeling of light-headedness, and a few times a day it gets worse for an hour or sometimes more. I don't feel dizzy as such but it's close to that, my heart also races and I feel panicky. No pains as such. My stomach has been a bit upset too (going to the loo more than usual) but this quite often happens to me when I'm worried about things, and I guess I'm worried about what is wrong with me.
It doesn't seem to happen when I'm in stressful situations, it can come on at any time, when I'm sitting watching tv or reading in bed for example. I have a fairly stressful job and my husband has a few serious health issues which worry me so I do have things on my mind, but more in the background, I don't feel that I consciously worry about them.
I've been working from home which luckily I can do, as I'm scared of the feelings happening when I'm away from home, or stuck on a train for example.
I've had various tests at the doctors for anaemia, ear problems, thyroid etc. and an ECG and all were fine. My pulse was quite high but BP ok. He doesn't seem to think it could be anxiety but people I've spoken to think it might be.
Does anyone think this could be anxiety? I've had it since before Christmas and it's really getting me down as I can't plan anything and am having to cancel things I've been looking forward to if I'm feeling unwell. I'm 46 and female, and generally in good health.
Thanks in advance.
