Mental health

Dumped for my BPD

Relationship of three years has ended very suddenly. He just cracked under the pressure of having to hold everything together.

Only minor things were talked about before it ended, no free time, tiredness, work stress etc. Minor bickering. He ended it on Sunday and it's my birthday today.

When will fucking BPD stop ruining my fucking life? I've had DBT and I know I wasn't managing my mental health well, but to cause someone to suddenly pack and leave in the space of three days is a new low for my behaviour. He's not the father of my son but was fabulous with him. We had plans for the future. It was so quick.

I don't know what I want out of this thread. I asked him to let my prove I'm not a lost cause but he won't let me have another chance. He feels smothered and that he's lost himself. I understand why he's done it but I'd like to make sure I can improve my behaviour for me and my son for the future.

Sometimes we feel lost for words..

Does it help for me to say, you are not alone?
You are not a freak.
There are many of us in the world...
And yes.... life is not fair..

big hugs

I'm a bit hyper emotional but I feel like it's a curse. I just don't understand other people and their emotions, or how to react normally. I want these things rather desperately. Going to try and get some one on one therapy and spend 2016 getting mentally and physically well.

May I ask, do you have BPD too? If you do, I have so many questions!

Are you sure it is BPD related? Did he actually say those words? It's so easy to feel like everything is connected when something feels like it rules your life.

Can you revisit some of your DBT stuff to help? Also maybe find out if STEPPS is around in the area.

Take care of yourself.

Yes it's definitely the BPD.

Will revisit DBT. Am going to get my hair cut. Obvs that'll fix everything!

I have a supply of Valproate Semi Sodiim (Sodium Valproate) for my BPD management... It is used to control manic episodes... and hence reduce the swings into deep depression...

It may help for you. Suggest you ask your doctor.
