Anti psychotic withdrawl... need hand holding

I am currently changing my anti psychotic from risperdone to aripirozole. I stopped taking the risperdone and took the other straight away as the Dr said to. Since then, I have felt faint , head zaps, dizziness, can't keep anything down, can't move to do anything, didn't sleep for 2 days. I've slept a bit and seen my CpN who says I'm in risperdone withdrawl. I'm a single mum currently doing my masters so I've not 'time' for withdrawl...but most of all, I'm feeling really miserable and low. My friends have got dd as I've been struggling to even have a bath or do anything. I've managed to get up today and am thinking about having a bath in a bit. Anyone else been through withdrawl? How long did it last? Anyone around to hand hold?

Hi Never. I've not had withdrawal from respiridone, but from a different anti P while changing meds. I found mental health daily a great source of info.

respiridone withdrawal

Out of the sites I've looked at they've been the most accurate and impartial. Hope you pull out of it soon.

It was about a week or so. The first few days were grim as hell as it gave me a massive stomach upset and bad headaches. It soon Improved though.

They said yesterday there's nothing that they can give me, I just have to stick it out.

I bought mine on Chemist Direct. It's not a prescription drug.

Oh ok I'll look. I'm struggling to eat, have stomach pain, can't really do much without feeling sick, but it is abating a bit.
