I think a lot about death. Been surrounded by it over the years and very recently. So don't know if it is a trigger.

I am convinced I will lose my DC. Its overwhelming at times. And everday during normal life I feel thankful I wasn't in a car crash, or DD didn't fall down the stairs, or DSis didn't die in a fire, or DH didn't get cancer. It goes on.

Is it normal? I really get scared something will happen to DD.

It's anxiety Sad, I gave similar thoughts but with me it's a fear of me dying, my dd's have sn's and I worry that if I die they will have no one that understands them, I get anxious about it a lot, when I hear about car crashes I imagine what it would be like if it was me that died, what would happen if I went out in the car and never returned home Sad. It's a horrid feeling.

You're experiencing intrusive thoughts. Its likely that they have been triggered by your recent experiences.
You can seek support from your GP. It might sound like an odd thing to go to your GP with, but its real. You can ask for CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) through the local IAPT service (IAPT stands for Improving Access to Psychological Therapies - different organisations provide this service in different areas, depending on who won the local contract - your GP should know who to refer to).
CBT can help you to challenge your thoughts and reduce the impact that they are having on your life. I imagine they're making you feel quite anxious - you mentioned about fearing for your DD. By reducing the impact that these thoughts have on you, the thoughts themselves are likely to reduce.
Marne2 - I'd give you the same advice, go to your GP, ask for help if you haven't already. Anxiety can take over your life and have a major impact, but there's support out there. You just need to ask.

Thankyou.

Marne, yes, something happened to someone in our family and I am worried ill do it in my sleep because I keep thinkng about it and sleep talking about it.

DD was on the windowsill yesterday with DSS holding her, looking at lights. All windows locked and he had her in a hug, but I had to get him to lift her down because all I could see was her falling.
