I can't stop pulling my eyebrows

I think I have trichotillomania. My eyebrows are thin and patchy with big gaps in the middle because I can't stop stroking and 'worrying' my eyebrow hair. I even do it to my eyelashes when I'm bored or stressed, bending them backwards and forwards until they break.

I look ridiculous and this happens all the time, I don't know how to stop it. Tried Rapidbrow but it's no match for the constant eyebrow rubbing. Has anyone else experienced this and can advise me how to overcome it? I'm so embarrassed of my appearance.

I do this too. I've always done it. Unlike you it doesn't bother me as I only pull out a few so I don't know how to stop it. I've never managed to stop.

A friend of mine did it so badly she used to draw her brows on. And wear false lashes. You could try that ?

Have you tried taking NAC (N-acetyl cysteine)? You can buy it online or in many health food shops. It has been used extensively for trichotillomania with good results.

Just google it and lots of results come up.

You're not the only one with a type of trichotillomania. I have a spot on my head that i've made bald from rubbing it. Actually, two spots but I worry most about the most visible one. I can control the eyebrows but I have on occasion pulled so many of the hairs out that it looked really weird. Luckily although that feels satisfying somehow i can stop that.

This may sound like stating the obvious but having experienced anxiety related problems in the past attempting to focus on other things helped me overcome many destructive behaviours.
