So my thread is gone.
I apologise, i was my understanding that it was only graphic discussion of methods that is not allowed and saying you are suicidal is ok, but clearly not.
I messed up, as usual.
Sorry.
Won't post again, deleting my account. Bye.

I missed your previous thread but I'm sorry you're feeling so low. Would you like to talk about it?

Butterfly I have reported your post so that MNHQ can deal with your case if you feel you have been unfairly treated. They will probably be along soon.

I didn't see your previous post, but my understanding was the same as yours. You didn't mess up. It is early days with this new policy on threads about suicide/suicidal feelings, and how to apply it to the many different threads that develop. You've no need to apologise and you did nothing wrong. MN do care very much about posters in your position and hopefully they will be in touch with you if they haven't been already.

When the issues of suicidal threads came up recently I and many others were worried about the effect on vulnerable people of having thread's deleted. Everyone was worried about that, but also didn't want to risk making things worse for the original poster by saying the wrong thing or not replying. It was a difficult balance and the way it is administered may still be at the fine tuning stage.

Just please know that it is not because you messed up. You reached out and that is good. It is not because people here don't care, we care a lot. Not having seen the other post I won't say more but, please do stay on MN and post if you feel able. I'm sure a way can be found to create a thread where you can get support without any protocol problems.

Hope you're ok.

We would hate for anyone to be without support and welcome posts on all topics within our guidelines, but we do have to be guided by the professionals when it comes to the incredibly difficult subject of suicide.
