Sertraline.. Is this normal?

Hi, I've been on 1x50mg daily of Sertraline for 15 days now & have been ok. Felt a bit light headed & nauseous first few days but much calmer up until this weekend where I feel so low again. I haven't been able to leave the house for 3 days because I just have no motivation. I am snappy & miserable.

My GP did warn me that at first I might feel worse but within weeks should feel much better, is this hitting me now after 2 weeks of being ok?

I am due to visit a new GP as old one left on Monday to go up to 100mg is this normal & the right thing to do?

Thank you for any shared experiences.

The gp told me that this was just to take the edge off.

I been on the same dose for a month now, still feel low but getting there.

I'd say 15 days is still early going. Try to hold out if you can. I know it's hard but even a short walk can make a difference to your mood if you can manage it.

It's normal :)

Most people start at 50mg just to get your body used to the drug. For some, 50mg turns out to be the right dose for them and for others they need to go up to 100mg or more.

I went up to 100mg and that levelled me out. No more huge ups and downs like I was having on 50mg.
