I wanted to say, have your takeaway but try to make a lower calorie choice so instead of a kebab maybe a chicken wrap or a childs portion, you still feel you've had a treat but not as much damage, then you can always drop 100 cals or so off your daily amount for a few days to make up for it. If you deny yourself it'll become a massive thing and you'll end up gorging.

I think that's the issue - there's a minimum spend of £15 (thinking of chinese takeaway, chips are too fatty). I'll have a think over the weekend, see how I feel - I have visitors so may not be able to calorie count with them here.

Thanks all re DD compliments.

Firstly ((( all ))) having a shitty day.

I've been in bed most of the day with the nasty cold, last night was terrible with coughing & sneezing & fever....But was dragged out by my carer to go to a local event for World Mental Health Day. Yes it is Infact World Mental Health Day today! I've come home with loads of cup cakes Grin happy to share round with u all with a nice cup of Brew

((( spidey ))) hope ur car can be fixed without too much stress and hassel Sad

snowy take away sounds good I'm doing the same tonight. I'm thinking Indian as apparently the spices are good for a cold/flu Wink

Thanks for the new thread Spidey, hope you get your car sorted Smile

I'm feeling less flat today, however I've had a reaction to my antibiotics and I have a rash all down my arms Angry. Luckily my face is almost back to normal after my previous moisturiser debacle Grin

Making chicken and pea risotto for dinner tonight, might chuck some cherry tomatoes in there too.

Pulledapart · 10/10/2014 16:57

Victrix - Poor you! You have really been through it with your skin this week :(

Pulled - Hope your cold doesn't get any worse.

Gosh all this talk about food is making me hungry! It's crunchy hot fish n chips for us tonight yum!

Hope everyone has had an ok day today. I was sorting out some outstanding pay from my previous employer and had to speak to my old manager today.
Her whole manner was a good reminder to me as to how glad I am that I don't work there any more! Awful woman - made me want to reach for a diazepam. But I managed to distract myself quickly after and not use one of my precious 2 that I have left.

I start my new job a week in Monday.

Anyway hugs to all x

Thanks silvery it's good to hear that people you know found ways through alcohol issues. It seems so hard to get help for DS and it's as if he's getting worse day by day. This week though I've got a meeting with a carer's support worker and next Sat my sil is coming over here so I can get away for a few hours.
Need to sort some tea out as getting hungry now reading about food! ((hug)) to all.

Dh has had a look and he thinks the whole exhaust is fubar'd so it'll probably be at least £280 to fix.
Looking at new cars and it'll be the holiday spending money buying it. Sad
Why can nothing ever go right?

I'm wrestling with a conundrum, I feel like I want to tell people that I'm not well, so they understand why I'm distant and different but I don't want them to think less of me and I definately don't want to tell them everything! You guys know more about me than anyone alive.
Should I make it known I'm suffering from depression and then maybe people will understand?
Or do I just carry on pretending for everyone except a few trusted people?
I don't know what to do.
