Thanks for the new thread, spidey smile I hope you get to do your run.

I wanted to say, have your takeaway but try to make a lower calorie choice so instead of a kebab maybe a chicken wrap or a childs portion, you still feel you've had a treat but not as much damage, then you can always drop 100 cals or so off your daily amount for a few days to make up for it. If you deny yourself it'll become a massive thing and you'll end up gorging.

SnowyMouse Fri 10-Oct-14 15:55:54

I think that's the issue - there's a minimum spend of £15 (thinking of chinese takeaway, chips are too fatty). I'll have a think over the weekend, see how I feel - I have visitors so may not be able to calorie count with them here.

Collardove Fri 10-Oct-14 16:24:19

Thanks all re DD compliments.

Firstly ((( all ))) having a shitty day.

I've been in bed most of the day with the nasty cold, last night was terrible with coughing & sneezing & fever....But was dragged out by my carer to go to a local event for World Mental Health Day. Yes it is Infact World Mental Health Day today! I've come home with loads of cup cakes grin happy to share round with u all with a nice cup of brew

((( spidey ))) hope ur car can be fixed without too much stress and hassel sad

snowy take away sounds good I'm doing the same tonight. I'm thinking Indian as apparently the spices are good for a cold/flu wink

SnowyMouse Fri 10-Oct-14 16:36:21

Right, I'm sticking with yoghurts for the rest of the day.

Enjoy your Indian takeaway pulled

Victrix Fri 10-Oct-14 16:43:41

Thanks for the new thread Spidey, hope you get your car sorted smile

I'm feeling less flat today, however I've had a reaction to my antibiotics and I have a rash all down my arms angry. Luckily my face is almost back to normal after my previous moisturiser debacle grin

Making chicken and pea risotto for dinner tonight, might chuck some cherry tomatoes in there too.

Pulledapart Fri 10-Oct-14 16:57:01

Thanks snowy u enjoy ur yogurt too. I would normally opt for that for a healthy option but with this chesty cold no chance.

victrix rash sounds bad hope it recovers quickly but glad to hear u feel less flat today. Risotto sounds yummy & I love cherry tomatoes too.

Collardove Fri 10-Oct-14 17:29:58

((((Snowy)))) smile

Victrix - Poor you! You have really been through it with your skin this week sad

Pulled - Hope your cold doesn't get any worse.

Gosh all this talk about food is making me hungry! It's crunchy hot fish n chips for us tonight yum!

Hope everyone has had an ok day today. I was sorting out some outstanding pay from my previous employer and had to speak to my old manager today.
Her whole manner was a good reminder to me as to how glad I am that I don't work there any more! Awful woman - made me want to reach for a diazepam. But I managed to distract myself quickly after and not use one of my precious 2 that I have left.

I start my new job a week in Monday.

Anyway hugs to all x

Mentalpsychiatrist Fri 10-Oct-14 17:36:48

Just concentrate on enjoying your week before you start your new and brilliant job. Have you got anything planned yet? I'm sure shopping will be on there somewhere wink

violetsrblue Fri 10-Oct-14 19:21:05

Thanks silvery it's good to hear that people you know found ways through alcohol issues. It seems so hard to get help for DS and it's as if he's getting worse day by day. This week though I've got a meeting with a carer's support worker and next Sat my sil is coming over here so I can get away for a few hours.
Need to sort some tea out as getting hungry now reading about food! ((hug)) to all.

MySpideySenseTickles Fri 10-Oct-14 19:27:24

Dh has had a look and he thinks the whole exhaust is fubar'd so it'll probably be at least £280 to fix.
Looking at new cars and it'll be the holiday spending money buying it. sad
Why can nothing ever go right?

nethunsreject Fri 10-Oct-14 19:31:10
