Hi,
I've been off mirtazapine for anxiety for 11 months now which initially I was really happy about but now I'm doubting the decision to come off them. I seem to constantly have low level anxiety which is liveable with, but every few months it increases in intensity. When it s like this I can live with it but it is unpleasant and I always wonder if it is going to get worse like it has before.
I came off mirtazapine after about 6 months I felt much better but tbh I wanted to come off because of a few side effects, predominantly weight gain, so in hindsight I think I came off too early although it took about 5 months to actually get off them.
When I was on dosulepin in the past I was on for much longer but didn't get any anxiety after coming off for about 6 years.
So to get to the point, should I just live with the anxiety or should I go back to the doctor? I have had some telephone counselling which I do try to use, however some of the techniques actually seem to increase my anxiety! Any thoughts or experiences would be welcome ,
Thanks xx

At what point should you go back on meds for anxiety?
