Do you think I should go back to the doc?

Hi everyone,

I've been reading this page for a while but this is the first time I've posted. I'll try to keep it short.

I've been on sertraline for around 4 months now, initially for anxiety but I see now I was/am depressed as well. It's made a big difference but I still get very low days where I take to my bed, don't want to talk, just want silence etc. Difficult with two children!

I'm on the lowest dose of sertraline. Do you think I'll continue to get better or do you think I should speak to the doc about increasing the dose?

Best way I can describe how I usually feel is it's like being on a fence between good and bad - I know I can go either way at any time. Does that make sense to anyone?

Hi I was on a starting dose of Fluoxetine for about 6-8 weeks and was feeling better but not great. I asked to increase my dose which I did and I can now see even more improvement. I think I had got so used to feeling depressed that I forgotten that I could be any thing else.
Having to go to bed and not wanting to talk I think would be a sign that you are still not feeling well so I would go back to your GP
Good luck x

Most people on Sertraline require a slightly higher dose but you may step down to that dose again in the future when you are feeling better. See your doc for a review. Well done for seeking help Xx
