Feeling down and don't know why

I feel pretty down at the moment. I've had bouts of very bad depression before, but have had a reason behind them.
This new feeling is different in that I was pretty awful with it last time, didn't trust my partner or in laws and felt like the whole world was against me (was after ds came out of scbu)

I just feel down. Tired, can't be bothered to do much (but am carrying on with things). Was meant to go to an assembly for the Year 1 and 2 kids (dd is year 1) for Diwali but I just couldn't face it at all, dp has gone without me, but now I feel awful for disappointing my dd.

My writing is effected as I can't string a blog together.

There's nothing worrying me to cause it.

Is it depression again, or something else? I've had bouts of poor health which are being looked into, but other than that everything is ticking along as normal.

Some depression , [imo and some other peoples' ] can be chemical in origin.
And may be helped with eating 2 or 3 portions weekly of cabbage or brocolli.

Are you able to take a rest?

Once or twice a year I take a tonic for 3 days called Metatone. The tonic seems to help some people but not others.

Obviously see your GP if you think you perhaps ought to.

Have you had your Thyroid levels checked?
I felt similar down and tired - just rubbish a couple of years ago.

Went to my G.P. and got prescribed anti- depressants but had a blood test too and I have an underactive thyroid.

Feel much better now.

Go and see your GP to rule out an underlying cause like thyroid.

Underactive Thyroid affects almost everything including your perception and ability to concentrate. Which may explain your inability to write your blog.

Yep, have had that tested a few months ago, as I've had unexplained dizzy spells. It now turns out its csysts on my ovaries causing hormonal issues, although I'm awaiting a scan to confirm this.

Will try the suggestions amillion, resting is difficult as DD comes home at 11.45, so I get all the chores and stuff done when he's out, then he needs entertaining in the afternoon. I've been going to bed earlier, but perhaps I'm coming down with something?

You could be coming down with something.
I sometimes dont find out what it is until the next day.
Happens with the occasional ear infections I get.
