Bi polar moving too fast

Recently been diagnosed with bi polar. Had a change of medication and now feeling pretty positive.

I went for a medical today and doctor said he was 50/50 as to whether I should return to work. I'm a primary school teacher.

Yes I do feel anxious and nervous at times but it just because of lack of confidence. I think if I force myself to go back to work i'll become more confident as time passes.

I was in a bad way in hospital in April and I want to return to work in September. I'll be returning part time (3days) so it won't be too full on. I'll have my DD Thursday afternoon and Friday all day (Thursday morning she'll be at the childminder so I can get planning done)

Anyone been in a similar experience with regards to returning to work? Am I being unreasonable in wanting to return so quickly??

What sort of support will you get at work?
Will you be able to leave if you need to?

My psychiatrist used to tell me quite regularly that I shouldn't be doing the job I was doing but I used to ignore him. Have to say though that I've had to lower my expectations a lot in what I can do job wise. I can't cope with anything too stressful. I work part time but it's just a job certainly not the career I used to have.

I've been struggling with bipolar a long time though and IIRC you've only just been diagnosed. There's every chance that you'll be absolutely fine.
