Hi, I know there isn't a magic wand and I won't just wake up one day and everything will be wonderful. I just want to be rid of this CBA feeling!
I have been on AD's (fluoxetine) for nearly 2 weeks now. I don't feel Sad like I used do but neither am I bursting with energy. I just feel somewhere in the middle but like I can't be bothered to do anything.

Just dip in and out. There's loads of people in similar situations to you, many of them just starting their meds and wondering, like you are, when they're going to start to kick in. The common consensus is anywhere from two to six weeks, so keep on persevering with them and good luck.

Went to bed at about 9.00pm as I felt tired but then was wide awake at 3 and have been up since! Hmm

Morning Cats. Waking up at 3am is a bit shit but looking on the bright side you had 6 hours kip! Thanks Loopy for your comment, and you're right: finding the right dose of the right drug is the thing.

Also, have a read of the thread I linked to, it's full of people in the same place as you seeking answers and sharing experiences.

Hi Cats, I'm on the other thread too. Been on Sertraline for nearly 6 weeks and have been gradually improving since, though still utterly knackered. Like Loopy said, am starting to feel like myself and I can even feel myself looking around the house and thinking about doing things/getting out/making plans going forward, ie normal stuff!

Hang in there, and do check out the other thread.

Xx

Hi cats, I started Prozac 12 weeks ago for post natal anxiety, I felt just like you at two weeks, kind of flat .....also started feeling worse in a way as was really worried they were not working. However by three weeks I felt significantly better, not 100%, but enough to believe I was getting out. 12weeks I feel amazing!! Even better than before I got Ill. They work slowly so don't be disheartened, you are definitely on the road to recovery.....good luck and well done...let us know how you get on. Xx

Hi mumcity did you find you would wake up in the middle of the night and feel wide awake? I seem to have had this problem the last couple of nights.
Not great when I need to get up and do the school run. Hmm
Glad you are feeling better though. Smile

Hi cats, can't say I had that problem once on the meds, I certainly had that experience at the height of my anxiety. It could be that it's aside effect of the meds or just that they have not kicked in properly yet. I do hope you sleep a little better tonight. Much luck x

I am waking up at 4am every morning at the moment! Its partly anxiety and panic related but yes i'm so very very awake! Then slump about 6am, the same time everyone else gets up.

Sleep deprivation is hard enough but when your fighting bad thoughts its exhausting. Your not alone and I wish I had a cure!
