because i think i may habe to Sad

I started on sertraline just before last xmas, for PTSD. I found them really good, felt much better. Started weaning off them in july and havent taken any since august.
However ive started feeling quite anxious, im very irritable, no patience with anything, and my flashbacks and panic attacks have re started.
Not sure if its because my court case is almost over (i hope) which is really stressing me out, also the anniversary is drawing closer.
Ive made a GP appointment to see about going back on the meds, which is not what i want, i dont want to spend my life on ADs but i dont want to feel like this either, i am so unhappy, and making everyone around me miserable too.

Some advice, experience or support needed, thanks

yes, I've had to. Tried weaning myself off citalopram but have ended up going back on to a slightly lower dose because I ended up having panic attacks and stressing out much more than I could cope with. Am going to try again later this year to bring the dose down. I guess I was not quite ready and I've asked for some counselling to support me for the next time I try. Don't feel too bad about it, if you have a court case going on it's probably not the best time to try and come off them? Going back on them does NOT mean you'll end up spending your life on them. xx

Thanks thats how i feel right now, have i tripped a switch that means once ive taken them i'll never get off them, i was so against it in the first place, and now im lokking to take a step backwards.
I didnt know the legal stuff was almost over until mid august, so was already off them by then.

Has anyone come off ADs and stayed off?

Yes I've had to lots of times. Though I have succeeded in coming off for a number of years (longest time off meds is 4-5 years). You only very recently stopped taking the citalopram - could you be experiencing discontinuation symptoms? Unfortunately I honestly cannot recall many of my experiences of stopping meds although I know I've always come off really, really slowly.
