Why do I get so anxious and low after ovulation?

I have posted before about awful periods, PMT etc etc. I feel crap today for no reason other than have ovulated in last few days. Every month is the same - I ovulate and then my mood starts to dip. I am off owrk, the sun is out, having lovely time with dd but still feel like could go to bed and stay there.

Why does this happen? Anyone know?

I get the same, or I did before I started taking the pill again (12 months after DS3 was born). Ovulation was sometimes worse than PMT. Now I just get PMT on the 'week off' the pill. It must be hormonal but I don't know why - there are natural remedies that are supposed to help.

HI I HAD THIS FOR YEARS AND YEARS -MISERY- NO ONE SEEMED TO BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAID THAT HRS AFTER OVULATION I LITERALY STARTED TO FEEL TERRIBLE.TRIED MANY THINGS AT GREAT EXPENSE WHAT MAY WORK....-1. PILL WORKED FOR ME BUT NOW IM TOO ANCIENT FOR PILL !! 2.GPS SEEM TO BE PRESCRIBING PROZAC AT V LOW DOSE FOR THIS TYPE OF PMT, AND FOR ME, IT HAS WORKED.
NB .I SPENT LOADS ON ALT THERAPIES WHICH I REALLY BELIEVE IN - BUT NOTHING I TRIED CD HELP - TRIED YEARS.THE ONLY TIME I DIDNT GET IT WAS WHEN ON PILL OR PREGNANT.IT MUST BE THE HORMONES OR SENSITIVITY TO THEM.
I DO FEEL FOR YOU - I TRIED EACH MONTH TO FIGHT IT ,BUT AS I THINK ITS NOW THOUGHT TO BE A SENSITIVITY TO PROGESTRONE I NOW REALISE THAT EVEN THO I TRIED SO HARD ,I DID SUFFER FOR YEARS,SOMETIMES I PERSONLALLY THINK YOU JUST NEED TO BE LIBERATED FROM THIS AS IT LITERALLY DOMINATED HALF OF MY LIFE AND I DONT WISH THAT ON ANYONE...GOOD LUCK
