Human Givens approach?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of using Human Givens approach for depression, or of Human Givens based therapy? What did you think of it?
I bought a couple of books recently and have been reading up on it and it is really interesting, and even to my medically trained mind it makes a lot of sense!
Would be interested to hear anyones views on it!

well I obviously don't know how medically trained your mind is, but I find (legally trained mind Wink) that it is a beautiful theory, which as a theory makes a lot of sense but which doesn't translate very well in therapy that helps you cope in everyday life where needs are commonly not met.

that's interesting madmouse do you mean that the therapy is generally not helpful? and is that because certain needs are not being and can't be met and the therapy can't change that?
I'm just curious really, but as someone who has had depression before, and who has been on antidepressants, I do find it interesting. Also I have a medical degree and work in pyschiatry LOL Xmas Hmm so am particularly interested in this area generally. I am also quite interested in the theory of sleep, and especially how this links in with depression, and found that aspect quite interesting.
