Fasting / 5:2 diet

Carry on and have a really bad day or save for tomorrow

I'm currently doing the 5:2 diet and my tdee is 1300 calories. I've been good all week but today I've consumed 1758 calories. I have a cookie. Do I eat the cookie today and just have a bad day and salver it at the weekend or don't do any more damage and eat it tomorrow? Not eating the cookie is not an option Grin

TDEE is total daily energy expenditure, do you 1300 mean calorie allowance?
In which case you could eat that much every day and lose weight tbh

TDEE is maintenance calories, just reduce by 20% to find target calories. You must be starving, no wonder you want the cookie!

I stick to around 1200-1300 a day but have a cheat day on a Friday (just had a chicken tikka takeout and a big bag of popcorn) and I still seem to lose between 1-2lbs a week. I think you get demotivated if you don’t eat some cheeky stuff too!

That’s very low for tdee. Mine is just over 2000, and I lose weight on that with 2 fast days.
