Hello! Been on fast 800 for a few weeks after disastrous attempts at keto and so far feeling ok on it. The thing on my mind is my belly. I’ve already lost a stone (at least 2 to go) and worried that same thing with every diet since I was in my 20s is happening where it comes off everywhere but my paunch. This time am also doing exercise including cardio and weights, really throwing my whole self at this but just wondering if maybe need to accept this is here for some degree now for life. Had a potbelly when was 9.5 stone aged 18 and not been helped by 2 kids and decades of salad dodging - any one managed to shift a long standing gut like this?

I’m an apple shape and found it was the very last thing to go when I lost a lot of weight a few years back after having 3 kids and zero exercise. It stayed the same shape IYKWIM but got smaller and smaller, still a bit pouchy but small enough to totally hide and almost flatten in decent knickers. Keep up the good work, I’m trying to reshrink mine again now Blush

I lost lot of belly fat successfully on Fast800. Well, I did 5:2 all along but it really did work on my belly fat. And I've always been pot bellied and now have two c-section scars too. What really made a difference was introducing clean fasting, doing 16:8 on most days. It really helps to stay in ketosis and therefore burning more fat.

My waist line was 98cm to start with and is now 75cm. This all took about 3.5 months. I'm now on maintenance and have added core exercises to my weekly regime. I'd like to lose another 2-3cm.

That’s incredible! Wish had measured my waist at the start... definitely losing weight and clothes looser but am sure not to that scale, that’s a terrific achievement - well done you!!!

Thank you! It really feels so good, I used to feel so down about it before. Will never go back to my old ways.

You say you've been doing Fast800 for "few weeks". Just stick with it as it really works. It just varies how quickly each of us loses weight and centimetres. Strictly no snacking and I really recommend experimenting with time restricted fasting as it gives your body a rest and an opportunity to heal as well as keep you on a light ketosis (even if you are doing low carb rather than full on Keto). And most importantly it keeps your insulin (the fat storing hormone) down.

You've done well so far by losing a stone!
