5.2 or 800 fast?

I am just wondering what is best to do to start with?
Ive got about a stone and half to lose. I run 4 times a week and generally quite active.

I want to lose 7lbs and in the past 5:2 has worked but that was 2 days of 500 cals. When I search now it seems to be 800 cals on those days. I’m confused too. 500 cals was hard but worried that 800 will mean it takes too long.

Reading the Fast 800 website it seems to suggest that you can start with either according to what suits you best. I think I’m going to aim for 2 days of 500 cals like I did before but allow myself to go over a little if I’m really struggling, without feeling too guilty. I lost over a stone a few years ago doing 5:2.Good luck.

I think Fast800 is incredible.

But I'm obese and need to lose a lot.

If I were slimmer and able to exercise as much as it sounds like you do I think I'd do 5:2 and then lower my carbs the other days too.

Yeah I do think 5.2 would be better with the exercise I am doing. Im going to try it!
