Fasting accountability thread

I've done a few OMAD days and find what Jason Fung says really interesting. After Christmas I let myself have a few too many treats so I'm going to give a longer fast a go, day 1 today, I'm hoping to get to 3 days. I just wanted an accountability thread really as I don't want to tell anyone in real life most people get a bit shocked by the idea of not eating for a few hours let alone a few days!

Start of day 2, this is supposed to be the hardest so fingers xed I get through. Day 1 was ok, definitely waves of hunger as described on other threads, not constant so that was ok.

I am starting a longer fast today too and hoping to get to three days. Have only ever done 16:8 before so fingers crossed I will be able to do it

Hope you got on ok Gigia, I found day 2 not as bad as i thought but this morning (Day 3) I have a bit of a headache so I'm going to make sure I drink plenty I added some salt to my water too. I'm definitely going to enjoy my first meal after this fast Smile

Starting with OMAD and will do 48hours when I get back to work. It makes me feel so much better tbh.

I made it to after lunch time on day 3 so just over 72 hrs in total. I started to feel a bit low on energy, it probably was a bit of dehydration but I decided to stop the fast earlier than I planned and have lunch and dinner. I didn't find the 48 hour fasts bad at all so I'm going to do another one starting today. I'm thinking a few 48 hour fasts a week is what might work for my body at the moment rather than a full 3 day or week long fast.

Can I join you please. I hadn't thought of two or three days in a row, have done two separate days before. Is two in a row easier than two separate?!

👋For me I guess I'm trying to squeeze as much fasting into a month as possible at the moment. I found once I've done one day I felt quite motivated to do another day and it wasn't as bad as i thought. By day 3 in the afternoon I felt a bit light headed so thought I should eat, although i think I may have been a bit dehydrated.
