I have a huge appetite so this will be such a challenge. Looking for others looking to start on this journey.

Personally I am a bit all or nothing - I like big portions so will be a real challenge. I would love to find a buddy.
At teh same time going on a "self journey" to find ways to manage my overeating.

Good luck to all....

So first day today. No breakfast feels odd - but I have a "gut feel" it's triggering my appetite.

A large black coffee. I'm doing lunch and evening meal as prefer bigger portions. My plan is to go to easter and easter day i will have chocolate for breakfast damn you!

I am 10 stone 7, and 5ft 4 and a bit. I have dreams of being my weight which I was for years 9 stone 2 lbs. I used to have to work at it though but since children and menopause approaching each year the scales go up a pound so very keen to halt the process.

First day....

Hi there I am not doing great on dieting right now I am sorry to say, but from previous dieting attempts on an 800cal plan (it was a meal replacement one though) I would say the first 4 or 5 days will be very hard then you will start to go into fat burning mode and also adjust to the smaller meals and feel much less hungry. So it's worth bearing that in mind if you are struggling to stick to it in the first week. It does get easier. Take it really easy till you adjust and don't try to increase your exercise. Watch out for headaches and be sure to stay hydrated and get enough salt as you may need it for proper hydration. Some people like a drink of Bovril, Miso or similar salty savoury drink as it is quite filling and helps with the salt issue.

Me I need to get back at it. I'm 5'2 and a bit and 10 stone 4 3/4. Was on fast 800 for 2 weeks and went from 10 stone 12 3/4 to 10 stone 3 then fell off the wagon with family meals. Want to be back to pre baby weight if I can of somewhere under 9 and 1/2 stone (and back in my clothes so I have choice in what to wear)

I started on Saturday - started at 11stone4 and this morning was down to 11. Goal is 10 stone.

I was finding it weirdly easy, stopped being hungry and haven’t done my usual constant grazing at work.

But... I tried an exercise class tonight and now I feel dizzy!

Well I'm down to 10 stone 2 this morning, yesterday was a mad day with toddler group, shopping, toddler shoe shopping and baby weigh in so wasn't hard to not eat as I didn't have time. But I did resist snacking on rubbish and toddlers food. Had baked salmon steamed broccoli peas and sweet corn for dinner. Piece of fruit toast for breakfast and 2 dates (122 cal!) for lunch with a latte. Think I was at about 720 calories but I've probably forgotten to account for some lots cups of tea. How's everyone else going?

5lbs down this morning Smile

Tried exercise last night, got a bit dizzy and woke up ravenous so this morning was tough.
Today will be 2 scrambled eggs, soup for lunch and duck breast and lentils for dinner. And all the water Grin

I'm 10 7 and 5ft 2 op Blush

Two years ago was happily just under 9 stone but due to thyroid meds and just massively over eating (I also love big portions and good food)I had a moment on Monday feeling bloated sick and heavy all day and my newish jeans ive already bought a size bigger were tight. So I started 16:8 on Tuesday.
On day 3 so far and getting into the Rythm of it but will be lowering my calorie total abit more after week one.

Smallfastpenguin Just read these posts and should have read yesterday. My first day was excellent I ahve never felt better and my usually huge appetite was dampened which never happens. The next day was a huge challenge I felt so angry and my head felt as if it was pounding. I was also v hungry. First day I didn't have breakfast and yesterday I did so the latter the cause to feeling rubbish all day (?)

Other folks would love to hear how you are all doing! makegood choices - wow great! Although not so great with the dizziness.

ps I wonder if a key to success is holding off eating as long as possible (for me) it's just managing the light headed feeling and was useless at work the following day. First day I was on it.

I find I’m often hungrier if I have breakfast. Unless it’s eggs which seem to work ok.

It’s funny I had a ragey second day but other than that was fine. I think it’s because I keep telling myself I’m doing it today, but not worrying about doing it tomorrow.

The weirdest thing is that my period started today, was awful and I haven’t misery-eaten everything in the cupboards. Which is unusual for me. I’m welded to the heat pad though.

Wow makegoodchoices you didn't do the misery eat? Usually I have huge misery eats before my period so would be really wonderful if I didn't or at least if the urged dulled.

When you say a ragey day, sorry to be stupid, do you mean an angry day? Because I had one and I felt so exhausted and angry in a meeting at work I am embarrassed reflecting on it I was snappy and short with everyone. I then ate more carbs to see i it would settle and I ate breakfast the next day in fear of being a monster again - I didn't want to be a snappy type especially to my children. It seems to have gone again now having returned to the black coffee for breakfast camp.

I'm down to 9 stone 12 this morning so a 1 stone 3/4lb off since February 5th. It's the first time under 10 stone in 2 1/2 years.

This seams to be the only way I can loose it because just cutting down I loose a bit and then stop loosing so give up or portion size creeps up. I'm planning on keeping to 800 for another 2 weeks I think and then switch to 2:5 until I get to under 9 1/2 (maybe 9 4) and then to 5:2. I think if I try to go to 5:2 straight away I'll fall off the wagon again.

I fell off the wagon today. I woke up really tired and hungry. Had a small snack (about 60 kcal) walked children to school and felt completely wiped out. I had some bread from freezer and one slice turned into four large white slices - no butter. I then was in snack mode all day - fish stocks, dark chocolate, fruit. I have to say feel much better now but my kcal I worked out was 2500 kcal!

Hmm back to the drawing board... and back on it again.

I want to join in. I'm 5ft 3 and 10st 4.

Apparently my ideal weight is 8st 10. Haven't seen that weight in 15 years. I've just come back from holiday and I'm feeling fat and unhealthy.

I'm starting today! Well done those already losing.

I'm idly considering a 3 day juice cleanse for next week, but I'm hearing bad things. Has anyone had a go?

The first few days are the hardest. Make sure you drink loads it does help a bit. The only thing that keeps me going is that it really works and I see that when I jump on the scale. Keep going @adulthumanwolf

Hi guys. Not been too bad.
Have tried to stick to within the 8 hr window which was a little tricky over the weekend but I just about managed it.

Have also tried eating less carb dense so for lunch today was a lovely leafy salad with feta and mozzarella chunks a small amount of pesto pasta and a hard boiled egg.

My evening meal ended up being a thin bagel with boiled egg on top.

My main evening meal on Sunday was a salad with some cold meat and feta but woke up starving and struggled to get through the 16 hrs but found it a lot easier today.
Am trying to adjust my times over the next few days as I have a weekend away booked so want to be abled to enjoy a nice pub mea or two 😁

I haven't scaled it this weekend as I've decided to keep going by clothes for a couple of weeks or I get obsessed with weighin.

Went off the rails at the weekend as we had guests and I didn’t want to be weird/explain the diet. Still came in at a calorie deficit, just not a big one.

Back on it properly today and found it easy again. Boiled eggs, feta & lentil salad, chicken stir fry. I’ve got another 7lbs to go before I stop having a muffin top. I’m really looking forward to that as I’m feeling really portly Sad
