I watched Fat Sick & Nearly Dead and for the past few weeks have been having 1 juice a day along with normal diet. Energy levels went way up & I lost about 4lbs through no effort apart from an extra walk each weekend day. So decided to try a 3 day juice only fast. Am on day 3 & have had a headache for about 24hours, it was really bad last night. However hopped on the scales this morning & lost 7lbs since Friday !! Am so encouraged I'm thinking of extending it to 7 days however am worried ill just pile it all back on. I'm technically half a pound away from the top of a bmi of 25 however would ideally like to lose another 7lbs at least to open up my wardrobe options!!

Snowie You shouldn't do prolonged fasts (including juice fasts) without medical supervision, / advice, or it can be dangerous.
If you really want to juice fast on your own, I strongly recommend no more than 2 consecutive fast days and maximum once per week.

I suggest you have a few days of normal healthy eating within TDEE and then combine a juice fast with 5:2 to lose weight, i.e. on your 2 fast days, do your juice fast. You can also do the fast days consecutively if you wish.

It might be an idea alright - made it to the 3 days yesterday but definitely felt a bit woozy today. Doing a 2 day juice fast is prob a good idea I was not very committed before when I tried 5:2 & found the 2 hard but this I cold definitely do as I find the juices very filling...

Well I did a 35 day fast years ago for health reasons.... After the third day it was easy, after 7 I was high as a kite Nd full of energy but I did end up with bronchitis cos it suppressed my immune system too much.
