I tried several varieties, experimented with microwave and dry-frying, all foul: smelled & tasted like rotting fish, horrible texture in my mouth. I binned them all.

Really illustrates that people have different tastes, since the manufacturers presumably have sufficient customers ti make a profit.

I've tried them-the thinner varieties ( noodles or rice) are better than the thicker pastas ( penne).

Rinse them well, and dry fry them. Use them in a super spicy sauce-Tom yum soup, or a chilli heavy stir fry.

A bit late to this, but anyway....

Read the reviews on amazon for some feedback from those who have tried them.

I've had the penne - don't go there, please! As said the fish smell is something else, but it does go if you rinse the noodles several times in water and cook them correctly. However the penne isn't like 'tubes' - because it is vacuum packed the tubes are squashed flat, which makes for basically a rectangle shaped thick rubbery thing, which needs a bit of chewing. It tastes a lot like eating calamari or squid.

However I understand the noddles and spaghetti aren't quite so awful!

I think they might be on the penny sale in hollland and barrett at the moment?

I found that as a pasta replacement the texture was really rather strange. BUT as part of a stir-fry they really work - the odd crunchy texture blends in with crunchy veg so isn't as stand-out weird.

And rinse them really well, I didn't find them fishy but I wasn't keen on the packaging water.

I've just tried these - had the noodles in a mustardy sauce which disguised the smell. They do need chewing very well, not least because they are made from a yam which doesn't go to mush in water, so if you got some stuck in your throat you'd be in trouble.

I will eat the other packet I have, but I don't think I'd buy any more.

Courgette strips are much nicer as a pasta substitute and you feel like you are eating something real!!
