My husband has very kindly started my FD dinner and has cut up and dry fried 285g of mixed veg. It consists of onions, courgette, brocolli, mange tout, a few sugar snap peas, red, yellow and orange peppers and mushrooms.

Anyone got an approximate calorie content they would share??

A serving of stir fried vegetables would only be about 50 calories. I I'm a bit laid back about vegetables on my fasting days and don't really count them

Oh ok 285g is more than 50 but definitely less than 100

as per MFP, 1 bag of M&S veg stir fry is 120 calories

do not disregard the calories in veg (like the old nil points WW foods) as they can clock up if portion sizes are not under control

TIP I can't really check on mfp as I am assuming different veg have different calorie values and although he weighed the whole amount of veg I don't know how many grams of brocolli, how many of mushrooms etc which is why I was asking if anyone could give me a guesstimate. He used 2 sprays of 1cal olive spray

Fanny do you really think it is less than 100? I was going to allocate 150.

Volume wise it nearly fills a plastic cereal sized bowl.

PS - I always count the veg, I'm veggie and usually cook from scratch for FD's so would be not counting about half my calories over the course of the day if I left out veg / salad etc!!!

I was going by the calories on a bag of stir fry in front of me. 36 calories per 100g, 600g in the bag and that would do 4 of us. So 50 - 60 excluding oil here.
