Desogestral - I've cocked up haven't I?

Sorry there may be tmi.

I have Fibro, whenever I am on my period it triggers a flare up. My periods were every 4-8 weeks but very bad when I had them (keto diet). We are going on holiday next month for 3 weeks so I went to see the nurse. She put me on a mini pill called ^

I had my period within three days of starting it 13th July, the one before was 10th June. I had my period in July for 5-6 days.

I had brown spotting after this on and off.

Since 2nd August I've been bleeding, very red, no tummy ache really - maybe a tiny bit, boobs a bit tender, craving all the food, spots in hormonal places, very moody!!!! Is this my period? Or am I going to be bleeding for months?

I'm panicking this is going to mess up my holiday! I feel like I am going to flare up today Fibro wise, a lot of pain in other areas. I don't want to be bleeding the whole time either!

I shouldn't have gone on this pill should I? Any advice please?

I was on microgyn and that worked perfectly, but I had periods and nurse said this would be better as it would stop them! (Ha!) And I had the depo injection twice and bled for 14 months! I'm scared this is going to do the same to me!

That mini pill can make periods irregular. For some people it stops them but others can get prolonged bleeding. Maybe she should have given you norethisterone instead or you could have run packs of the combined pill together. I'd go back

Are you on actual cerazette (the branded one) or generic desogeraterol?

@birthdayblues31 I've added a pic.

Gp said to stop taking it completely, hope u get another period between now and the holiday and then a week before I go get the delay pill and take it for 3.5 weeks until I am home. She said I can't have my old pill because I have had a series of migranes since then and enough though I know why I had them (poor diet) and no longer do have them, I'm still at risk.
She said she recommends the coil or implant.

Which I am not going to do, so that's that. Looks like I will just have to keep being triggered into flare ups around my period!

After the depo making me bleed for such a long time I worried I would be stuck with either of those things in me and if I wanted it out they would refuse for months on end to see if I settle down. The thought of that terrifies me! Being triggered into a flare up once or twice a month for a week or two if I'm unlucky is preferable to months of bleeding and many many flare ups.

Depo made me bleed too. Cerazette stopped my periods and so did the mirena. I've never had generic desogestrel, just branded

I take branded desogestrel and haven't had a period since I started it.

But I understand that it can make periods irregular for others.

Go back and speak to someone if you can.

The pharmacy I get my prescriptions delivered from does mostly generic rather than brands! Their cocodamol zapain tastes like ass! Never seen a branded box for most drugs.

You can order the branded one online from Superdrug.
