Mirena coil issues (possible TMI warning)

I had the Mirena fitted around 6 months ago as no more babies / heavy periods.

After a while of unsettled bleeding I rarely have periods now so all ok from that perspective.

My issue is that any time DH and I have sex I bleed very heavily afterwards for around 12 hours. This has been happening every time we have sex for the last 6 weeks or so.

I know I need to see the GP but the earliest appointment is 3 weeks away so just wondering if anyone has experienced this?
