Is the only fix for implant woes to have it removed?

I had the implant in 6 weeks ago. I was given it to try and stop the severe PMS I was having (suicidal thoughts when period was due) I had also fallen pregnant and miscarried (again!) using condoms.

Anyway, since the implant has been put in I have felt like a zombie, numb and all I feel is vague irritation at everything.
Sex dive has zeroed and even a hug leaves me cold. DH is suffering (not that he'd ever complain) and I'm missing that closeness of any intimacy and affection.

I have also bled new n stop since having it in.

Will it settle or will I have to have it out?

I've tried the POP but fell pregnant, I have had a marina coil and fallen pregnant, I can't take combined pill due to blood clotting history so this is what's left for me to try to help the PMS and to act as contraceptive.

Sorry to hear you're having such an awful time OP - I have no personal experience but I think at 6 weeks they would probably encourage you to persevere for a bit longer

If I were in your position I'd use a copper coil (no hormones), take agnus castus for pms, and double up with condoms/withdrawal/NFP!

Give it some time, the first couple of months can be quite difficult , I bled non stop for 6 months , GP told me to give it time to settle, they gave me some tablets to stop bleeding all together , I only took them when bleeding came back, I think the implant can make depression worse but so can any contraception with hormones, I'd give it a couple of months and if you don't feel any different I'd ask to change to something else, maybe the coil like someone else suggested , as it has no hormones x
