laproscopic sterilisation (keyhole op) any one had it done?

I've read it up in the NHS website. But I've still got questions as I'm having it done in wed.... Gulp!

1). I know it will take up to 4 hours from start to finish off the op. Will I able to walk out after that. I think I'm not allowed to drive for 24 hrs, is that correct?

2) recovery time.... I've taken Thursday off work to recover. Will I still be very sore as ive got a nearly 3 yrs old to look after.

3) is there anything else I need to know??
