Tubal Ligation Side Effects Stats

I was going to have this procedure done at the same time as my CS.

I thought that TL would be side effect free, but there are lots of anecdotal tales of early menopause and pain.

I can't find anything substantial to support this. The Americans are calling such side effects a syndrome, but the professionals are denying it exists.

I'm totally confused now and don't know what to do. Is there any official information on this? I want to base my decision on hard facts not scare mongering.
