I can get emergency contraception today?

My local walk in centre (isnt very local) has a four hour wait for appointments which isnt do able with a 4 year old.

Do any pharmacys do it free of charge over the counter?

We are in a contraception change over so wont be protected and completely forgot as we are so used to not worrying about it

If you can find a pharmacy with a prescribing pharmacist, they may be able to prescribe it so you can get it free, but it's specialist training, so you'd need to phone round to see if there was a pharmacist in who could do it (and would be willing to).

Otherwise, you can buy it over the counter with pharmacist consultation. Would the walk-in centre not let you do a phone consultation with an on call GP and leave you a prescription to collect?
