Migraines, depression and anxiety... What are my options please?

I have a history of migraines, which became extremely bad when I was pregnant so seem to be hormone related.

I've also previously had depression, PND and post-natal anxiety. I have OCD which is under control at the moment, but when it isn't my anxiety levels go crazy.

DH and I were using condoms, but I've been accepted for teacher training in September and I'm now petrified of getting pg. I know a few too many babies who were conceived while their parents were using condoms to be happy with them.

I'm seeing the doctor next week and I've heard that they tend to try to push everyone into having the implant. So I was just wondering if anyone can either suggest some options or can recommend somewhere to look for info, so that I can go in forewarned and forearmed if necessary.

I also don't want to lose my sex drive, having just got it back after having the boys. And I've managed to lose 24kgs, so I really don't want to put on weight.

You could have the mini pill. I was on cerazette and I have migraines with aura. It didn't suit me but you could try a range of mini pills until you found one that did?

Or the coil?

I had cerazette about 7 years ago, and I didn't get on with it. I thought it was considered the best of the mini pillls though?

I've been reading about copper IUDs, I'm quite interested in those. Thanks!

I had the mirena before I had DD with exactly what you describe. Really sorted me out !

If you have completed your family, how about your H steps up ?

Thanks, I'll look at mirena as well.

We're not done yet, or not sure that we are. I just want to be sure not to get pregnant for the next few years. DH is happy to have the snip though, when we're ready.

Fair enough. I recommend Mirena then.
