Implanon bandage question

I got implanon for the first time yesterday. The doc said to leave the big bandage on for 24 hours and the plaster underneath for 48. However, about five hours later the bandage came off when I was bathing my dd and she grabbed at it... Is that ok? Why do they recommend that? The plaster is still on, can see a bit of bruising but nothing major and it doesn't hurt...

I didn't get a bandage when I had mine put in just a plaster so I would say it would be fine.
