Any gymnastics coaches out there?

......if so can you give me a bit of advice please? DD (just turned 7) has been working towards her level 4 since November last year - is this normal? She doesn't seem to be making any progress. Also she seems to get stuck on the vault and tumble track week in week out - can't remember the last time she was on the beam or bars.

I've raised this with the coaches but they seem unconcerned. Am I being a pushy mum or should she be making some progress?

Thanks

My DD has completed her level 1 age 9 and did only low level beam and no bars (not availible at her class, 1 competition a year etc). Her freind the same age does beam and bars and lots of competitions etc), no idea what level she is at, but it is all done very much at the childs speed and not rushed so as to build confidence and skills, some move on quicker than others. I am sure she is making progress but it may not be the "wow" high level stuff you are looking for.

yes I'm a gym club coach, level 4 seems good to me. Is she enjoying it?

Can I ask something? <<gatecrash>>

Is there anywhere we can find out what they do at each level?

Thank you very much smile dd1 is a very proud owner of level 7. As far as we can see she can do a forward roll. grin

She enjoys it though and loves the leotard so it's all good. She had has developed strength and is more physically brave and active too, which is lovely to see.
