Hi waffle and co.

I haven't been around really since youngest left school last year.

Just popped in to say hi and let you know how the kids are doing and how their music is still a huge feature in their lives.

Eldest still singing with the choir she had a choral scholarship at uni ( year 3 of PhD now ) and loving it. Her" choir family" is still a huge part of her life.

Son back living locally - between degrees I fear 😂 However is singing and getting paid for it for a local very high catholic institution. So much plain chant and Latin masses !

Youngest doing a liberal arts degree. Lots of music- choral scholarship, hall choir, hall musical, uni wind orchestra and a local baroque group- she's even playing some recorder in their performance of the fairie queen. Finally seen the light/ found her bravery and changed her major from English to music - that was the decision we knew was the one but couldn't make for her. She's been ill recently and that's made her quite stressed re up coming exams but it's only first year .

Hi Helen

Thank you for the update, I've been wondering how your family was all getting on. I'm glad your DD had the courage to go for the music!

My DS2 is still singing in the Cathedral choir, though no longer officially a Chorister. He does some back row cover (gets paid) and some voluntary - but it gets in their blood doesn't it!

Hi Helen Great to hear from you and how your dcs are getting on . I love that they are still so involved in music ( not just your dd who is now majoring in music) I so wish I had done more at uni it took me a while to find music again once I'd left . Good luck to your ds with the job hunt ( or hunt for another degree?!) and hope your dd is feeling better now Smile

Hi! Lovely to hear how all the not-so-little DCs are doing now, and that music is still a big part of their lives.

Little Goo (who was in Year 1 when I started the first thread) will be a teenager later this year! Rara is 10 this week.

Nice to hear from you Helen - I remember you from my lurking days. Wonderful to hear about your DCs still enjoying their music as young adults Smile
