RCSM workbooks and grades - need to know for a Cubs badge

This is a bit random, but apparently for the Cubs musicianship badge dd1 has to prove she's at a certain level in her chosen instrument. Which would be fine, but it's voice, as she sings in a church choir, so she doesn't do grades, but the RCSM workbooks.

The Cub leader said anything that was an equivalent to a grade would be fine, so I'm trying (and failing, via google) to work out what (very roughly) the equivalent grades would be for the RCSM workbooks. Does anyone know?

DS2 completed all the workbooks and did the associated awards (Bronze, Silver, Gold).

He was also a Cub.

Voice for Life books are difficult because really they are theory based and don't equate to practical grades I would have thought it better to get a letter from the Choir Director or Singing teacher to say they are singing at that equivalent grade, and that should be acceptable. It would for any music activity with a required Grade element.

For what it's worth though, for the examined awards

Bronze was roughly 2-3
Silver 5-6
Gold 7-8

I think the books for each were Dark Blue, Red and Yellow.

Thanks! I was trying to not bother the Choir Director, but it seems like I"ll need to ask for something in writing.

And your DS2 must be an amazing singer, Gold award looks really tough!
