Ballet classes after school club

At the high school that my dd1 goes to they are starting a after school and lunch time club that focuses on ballet. It is:
Monday: 1/2 at lunch
Wednesday: 1hr after school
Thursday: 1/2 hr at lunch.
Do you think this club would be a good idea?

If your DD wants to dance, and if the teaching is good, then no reason why not.

Are they bringing in a teacher from an established ballet school? If so, is that school's reputation good?

If your dd already does ballet then she might find it a bit on the elementary side, depending on the current standard of the other students who attend. Who the teacher is (as AuntieStella points out above) will also have a considerable impact on whether it is worthwhile or not.

Bear in mind also, that there is no point in doing it unless the teacher will be able to give the right sort of technique correction and help her improve. Otherwise she might be practising in the wrong way and develop ingrained habits that are difficult to break.

Forgot to mention - ask and find out if it is a proper sprung floor.

Dancing on a hard unsprung surface will do her no good at all, and a half-hour class is barely enough time to warm up for secondary age students, and taking both these things into consideration the potential for injury could be quite high.

I know they are bringing a qualified teacher in. I think in the 1/2 hr sessions they are just doing routine work. Yes, the floor is sprung.
Also, I know that the children have to have at least three years prior ballet experience to take part.

Is there a particular reason why you're asking this question?
