Beavers - is there a badge book?

DS has just joined Beavers and is very excited about all the activities he'll be doing and badges he can earn. I looked on the Scout Association website and there are listings of the badges and what he has to do to get them. Also it talks of iPhone and android apps and downloads. My son is 5.
What I'd like is a book, made of paper, which he can keep in his room and read about the challenges he has to do for each badge. A bit like the one I had in Brownies in the 1980s. Does such a thing exist?

I think they phased out the badge books so they could continually update the syllabus.

It's like this shop.scouts.org.uk/p-3559-beaver-log-book.aspx

I'd have to dig it out to check if it's the same of a more recent version.

Have managed to find it. It is the one I linked to.

It has pages to fill in about the group (e.g. What are your leaders' names? Who are your friends?), some to fill in about yourself (e.g. Draw round your hand), a list of the badges and some stickers to match, a bit about the Bronze Award, what sort of things Beavers do, a bit to reflect on what they've done (e.g. "Some of the outings I've been on...") and a bit about Scouts in general.

Hold fire because he should get the log book when he is invested.

Our Beavers don't get a log book when invested, poweredbytoast. I think different colonies do different things. Ours are given their neckers and wiggles.

He's been invested, and when I asked the leader if there was a badge book available to buy, she said no.

Funny. We were given one. Must be different rules, different areas.

The book has been a big hit, especially as it contains stickers! He's even taken it to school for show and tell!
