Children's choirs in London?

We are moving to London from France in September, and my daughters (then 13) would like to join a choir. They've been singing in local choirs for the last two years. I've been googling etc but would appreciate advice/recommendations. They would prefer something like Southwark Cathedral Choir but I'm afraid they're too old to join (and at any rate I cannot get anyone there to respond to my emails so I think it's out). Any suggestions? We're not sure yet where we'll live as this depends on what happens with schools etc. Thanks very much.

I think you need to sort out location first, as you don't want to be treking right across London for rehearsals and so on.

If they want to sing sacred music, then a traditional anglican church with a serious choir would be the best thing. Shop around and see which have a genuine, active choir with children.

New London Children's Choir has a good reputation for a wider repertoire.

But there are loads of others too.

If they're good they could try auditioning for the national youth choirs.

There isn't usually an age limit on girls voices in Soutwark so worth applying.
