Going to a Running Shop, What sort of questions...

should I ask, and be asked to ensure I get the best (right) running shoe?

Have been running 4-5 days a week, around 5k mainly on grass/gravel (canal path).

TIA

Bed

bring your current running shoes so they can have a look at how you are wearing them. they will probably have a look at you run and then recommend shoes. you don't really need to prepare any questions.

ime don't buy a sports bra at a running shop as the super fit staff are all flat chested and don't really understand the needs of teh more voluptuous lady.

ask if they have any super tips re lacing - i got shown something which helps the shoes stay on more firmly (have narrow heels and high instep / wide front of foot).

wear something that they can see you run in, so nothing too baggy. get good socks too - falke i like.

How did you know I am of the 'more voluptuous' variety ?

Have found running bra at M&S, and Bravissimo.

Are running socks necessary?

I am going to the running shop in Reading. Has anyone been there?

They should watch you run, ideally on a treadmill. Just don't do what I did and try and talk to the bloke while running - I fell off the treadmill in a total comedy moment.
