Anyone else doing the Rat Race Man vs Coast in July

Looks like it's still on so the endurance training isn't wasted. I'm going but don't know anyone who else is. It would be nice to say hello if there is anyone else.

Looking forward to July - have missed my OCRs since they didn't happen in 2020.

The UK Mudstacle forum seems a bit dead. Want to be able to hang out with people before and after Man vs Coast. Anyone? Please?

There's a rat race facebook group that tends to be quite active. I find their events have a small group of loyal followers and lot of people, particularly ultra-runners wouldn't give them a second look because of the entrance prices! But the people who do RR events do ALL their events!!

The only people I know who have done a Rat Race are young things for whom the main attraction was the afterparty

That was the one at Burghley not the vCoast

I've done the Burghley one twice - the afterparty was fun for the bits I was there for but I was out like a light by 10 pm!

Hello, sorry for the rubbish user name, I'm fairly new here and I can't think of a good one! Anyway, I'll be there. My first Coast but I've done Lakes and Mountain. I was due to do it last year and I will get my final trifecta segment if it kills me (which it probably will with my lockdown state!). Are you on the UK.OCR and UK Mudd Queens Facebook groups? They're a bit more active than Mudstacle.

It's quieter than usual due to lack of current races, but there's a recent thread about Nuclear Rush moving dates to clash with Man Vs Coast and there's quite a few of us on there moaning as we're doing Coast! Hopefully you just need admin approval then you can get in and find us all!
