How often do you exercise?

How old are you and how often do you exercise?
When do you exercise and how do you fit it into your days?
I need motivation!

I'm 45 and don't exercise...

Get ye to pilates.
Much older than you and I hate exercise. But the benefits cannot be denied.
As for motivation, think pelvic floor. No-one wants pissy pants

I'm 26 , I don't go to the gym or anything , the school runs seem to keep me "fit" a total of 1.5hours a day walking while pushing a double buggy partly uphill.

I’m 40.

I do full on exercise (gym with a structured program) roughly every second day. I go after the kids go to bed.

But every day I go for a 30 minute walk at lunch time at work.

I’m 32. I exercised on Monday and I’ve only stopped aching today... Blush
Will certainly be making more of an effort every week now.

In my mid 50's, run 4 times a week, gym a couple of times. Hate the initial getting in the car to go but love it when I'm there. Feel great I have to say, exercise is wonderful but you do need to find something you enjoy.

I'm 49 and I exercise 6 days a week, and on some days twice a day. I do a combination of weight training/strongman work and HIIT/bootcamp classes.

Physically I look and feel good but I also find exercise massively benefits my mental health, especially when life is particularly stressful. Exercise keeps me sane.

There are days when I don't feel like it but that's when self-discipline kicks in.

Most days I do something but I run 5k every other day, pilates once a week, cycle 4 x per week to school with son and then to station and then on those days walk from station at other end to work and back (about 25 mins of fast walking - 2 miles maybe?). I am a single parent to a 5 yr old DS so I pay a babysitter (local teen) £5 to come in for 40 mins in the evenings or weekends when I run, I work from home a day a week when I do pilates. I spend a lot of time on the train home thinking of all the reasons I can't run, hate the first 200m or so and then I'm happy! Is possible but for me it has to fit around my lifestyle.

I'm 50 and am in the gym most days. Combination of weights and classes - circuit training, combat, pump and if I've time I run for 20mins or so before a class.
My motivation is feeling fit, healthy and strong. I get that endorphin high after a good workout!

I have the time now as my children are grown up and my dh works 2 or 3 evenings a week, so I may as well head to the gym after work instead of to an empty house. I've made lots of friends at the gym so it's my social life too.

I'm early 40s.
I exercise 2-3 times a week. Gym straight after work, or running early on the weekend or in the week while dinner is in the oven.
I try and do my 10k steps everyday - I normally manage 6 out if 7 days!

If I don't exercise I get really low, so I make myself find the time. I also book races in advance to keep me motivated.

50 and try to get daily walkies, unless I'm stuck at home waiting for something or the weather is exceptionally shite.

I'm 37 and run 10k one or twice a week plus a 5k on a Saturday. I'm training for a half marathon and once I've done that I'll probably stick to twice a week max.

I’m 45 . All bar 2-3 months a year I go to the gym 5 days a week, Monday’s and Wednesday’s I go twice. The only reason I have a couple of months off , is because I have a seasonal job , where I walk on average 20km a day in the heat and it’s bloody hard work!!!!
I go to a class that’s 6am-7am and the 2 evening classes are when the boys have swim training and it’s batshit boring watching them!!!

I find this so depressing. Two years ago I ran 35 miles a week. I've since been dx with MS and I'm lucky if I do .5 steps a day.

Mid 40s. 4-5x/week intense exercise. Every week since I was at school. Sport/gym/PT whatever. Only haven’t done this when pregnant due to complications. Will Continue for life. God-willing.

Forties and daily, first thing before work. Mix of running, hiit, strength and yoga. I also walk everywhere. No matter how busy I am I fit in exercise, it is just too important to skip.

I had issues with PGP when pregnant that has lasted since DS was born. If I do 30 mins of yoga daily I can function normally. Skip a week or 2 and I'm in agony, so that's my motivation. I need to build in some cardio but I'm a bit anxious it'll strain my hips too much.
Maybe I'll get out on the bike more when Spring arrives.

Depends what you mean by exercise. I do a 4 mile walk with Ds2 in his pushchair every day, and do another 2 miles taking DS1 and DD to school and nursery, and then whatever else I do as a mum to 3 x 5 and unders and running a house. I don't go to the gym. I quite fancy pilates but haven't done any yet.

I'm 49.
Work full time. Lone parent to DS1 - 20 and at uni and DS2 - 10 and in Primary school.
Monday - swim 1k during work/school day
Tuesday - 15 min core session at gym during work/school day and run 5 miles when DS2 at football training
Wednesday - run 5 or 6 miles during work/school day
Thursday - same as Wednesday
Friday - 15 min core session at gym then swim 1k during work/school day
Saturday or Sunday - long run.

Also cycle with DS2 or swim or climbing wall.

Motivation - I don't need it, I love it, I need it and go a bit crazy if I can't do it (DS2 poorly or just too busy).

I am fortunate to work from home (I'm an editor for a scientific journal) and have lots of flexibility.

DS2 is just old enough for me to leave him home alone while I run at the weekend or sometimes in the evening.

I can't get to running club at the moment which saddens me but the good thing with running is that if an opportunity arises (DS out) then I seize the moment!
