Arm exercises when you have a shoulder pain

I have a dull ache in my shoulder which I think is menopause related (ache goes down arm) but it has put the kibosh on exercising. The pain started a few months after I stopped so exercise did not cause it. I want to start exercising again, are there any workout routines on You Tube that are arm exercises (no weights) which does not exacerbate shoulder pain? Probably a bit niche, I have looked myself but drawn a blank.

Is it just one side, OP? I have had a shoulder injury with pain down my arm. They are often caused by poor posture etc but exercising with poor form can make it worse. I would find out what is wrong first and take it from there - seems unlikely to be meno to me if just one side and specific physio exercises can really help.

I have chronic mild pain in both shoulders and do regular swimming (front crawl, is only stroke I can do), twice a week for 50 minutes.

I can haul heavy stuff around a bit, too, but that has potential to aggravate, so try to keep it small. Kayaking is fine too. Throwing stuff is fine...

I find you need to figure out the specific things that aggravate your painful area & not do those things, or manage to do them minimally. Heavy backpacks & carrying single carrier bags aggravate mine.

I quite like the which make lots of suggestions about ways to rehabilitate shoulders.

GP sent me for osteo-arthritis screening, followed by physiotherapy offer from GP.

I attribute mine to getting old.

I had ache in my shoulder which spread down my arm. Eventually I was getting pins and needles in my hand and my arm was painful at night.

I went to a physio (on NHS) and the physio thought it was a problem with a nerve in my neck, made worse by poor posture. She gave me some exercises to strengthen my neck and advised to rest the arm as much as possible, so rest in my pocket when I walk, rest on the desk when using the mouse at work etc.

Might be worth seeing a physio to get advise on exercises to find the cause and strengthen things?
