Is a 10kg (22lb) good enough to see results?

I have started training using kettlebell workouts and pilates and would like to know is this weight of kettlebell is heavy enough. It fells heavy enough to me.

If it feels heavy to you it’s enough to start with. You don’t want to do too much to begin with and hurt yourself. As you do more it will begin to feel lighter and easier and then you know you can increase slightly.

It depends which muscle group you are working (what exercises). If it is the right weight for back and legs it will be too heavy for arms and shoulder, for example.

If you're just starting, I'd say 10kg is right - especially if it feels heavy. I sometimes do a kettlebell class and use a 12 or 14kg, but I also lift relatively heavy (for my age). Kettlebell & pump are faster & more reps required, so lighter weights are better.

If 10kg is heavy enough for you then it’s fine

It depends on what you’re doing with it though. If you’re doing deadlifts or squats then it’s definitely not enough, if you’re doing lateral side raises or windmills it will feel like too much

Start with what you can but the big movements can handle a lot more weight than you think (and make sure you’re doing them with correct form to avoid injury)

It's a good starting weight and will be useful for a long time, even when it becomes too light for some things. With things like deadlifts and squats, you can do these single sided which challenges core and balance more and effectively increases the bang for your buck.
