Which ones are you booked in for? How's training going?

I'm doing the GNR in September and got to do a 10 mile training run tomorrow. I'm hoping that the rain stops for a bit as I don't like it when my trainers squelch water...

I have until October but had an abrupt halt to training with life and holidays getting in the way so need to turn things around super quick. Still running 3-5 times a week but the long runs aren't getting passed 7 so have some work to do. Was at GNR last year, have you completed before?

I have more than one booked for the autumn (don't want to say exactly which)

The first is later this month, and I don't really think I'm ready. I'll get round (not disastrously, but it great either)

Are you still in the heat?

I have a trail half in September booked, with a friend who hasn't done one before. She's really excited.

Round here there tend to be some winter forest half's which can be booked fairly short notice, so I may do a couple, just because they are beautiful.

One of mine is trail, two are slightly mixed (mainly proper made paths) and one is road. So a nice mixed bag!

I am far less scared of the distance than I was this time last year. I'm still working on getting g the best hydration and fuelling plans - I can run for 2hours in the winter on nothing or next-to-nothing, but bonk out if I try that when it is warmer.. so I'll probably do better year-round if I get it sorted

Got a local one in late October. I need them fairly late to get the training in once term starts again. I've done about 8 now, 2 already this year. Running has been sporadic over recent weeks (as usual) but I recently ran a 10 mile trail race, gently as it was over the hot bank holiday! So I know I'm in a good position to build up more regular 8-10 mile runs through September.

Hello. I'm doing Royal Parks Half in October, and I have a duathlon this bloody weekend! Never done a duathlon before and I am scared - not of the actual fitness side of things, but of all the logistics!

I am a trail marathoner (of recently). Nothing booked as yet this Autumn but watch this space! Good luck all with your training and runs :)

Royal Parks is lovely - I'm Envy (unlucky in the ballot this year)

I've done my first of the season, one of the semi-trail ones (and with hills). It went pretty well - it's one I've done before and I ran it faster than before - still a bit outside my current target time, but I'm getting there! And I felt in good shape at the end, which I think is quite important

And Royal Parks - one of the greenest ass-participation events - is slap in the middle of Extinction Rebellion protests.

Presumably they prefer to see events which don't champion London's green spaces, have more than halved use of plastics (yes, it's even cups not bottles at some water stations), have bamboo tshirts and cotton goodie bags.

They're hitting a flagship evironmentally-friendly event, one that is showing all others what can be done.

So best wishes again to all who are entered, and I hope your event can go ahead without disruption
